DVA Ambulance has been providing quality Basic Life Support (BLS) since 1967. We continue this effort into the year 2003. These units provide Basic Life Support according to state and local protocols. Each unit has the ability to intercept with a highly Advanced Life Support Unit, if such treatment is required.

A BLS unit has the ability to perform life saving skills including the use of Automatic External Defibrillators and noninvasive advanced airways. Each unit meets and exceeds the minimum requirements for equipment and staffing. BLS units are staffed with Emergency Medical Technician-Basics, which are licensed by the state.
