Our personnel work as part of a team providing care for the sick and injured in a pre-hospital setting. They are an important part of the community. Our staff is required to meet State and Local education requirements and meet the licensing/certification requirements specific to their education level. Administrative Support Staff must meet the specific requirements to the position applying for.
DVA applicants must successfully meet the basic requirements listed below for consideration of employment:-
- Must have current/valid certifications in AHA Healthcare provider CPR (excludes communications personnel, provide after employment)
- Must have current/valid Michigan EMS license (excludes communication personnel)
- Possess a valid Michigan drivers license or Michigan identification card.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to communicate with EMS and lay persons orally and written.
- Ability to speak effectively and clearly via radio and telephone.
- Must meet the requirements specific to position seeking.
