DVA Ambulance provides several different services to our communities. We offer Public Relations, Dispatch Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Life Support.

ALS
DVA Ambulance is an Advanced Life Support Agency providing the highest level of prehospital care in the State of Michigan.

ALS in the State is provided by highly specialized care professionals.. Paramedics. A Paramedic has the ability to administer medication, monitor cardiac rhythms, manual defibrillate and use advanced airway procedures. These skills are in addition to those at the Basic Life Support level.

When a call is received by our dispatch center it is evaluated to determined if ALS should be dispatched. Some cases in which an ALS unit is dispatched are for patients who are experiencing chest pains, difficulty in breathing, altered level of consciousness, drowning, overdoses, childbirth, trauma calls and all other critical unstable signs and symptoms.

ALS is the highest care available to Michigan citizens and DVA is proud to offer this service to its communities.

BLS
DVA Ambulance has been providing quality Basic Life Support (BLS) since 1967. We continue this effort into the future. These units provide Basic Life Support according to state and local protocols. Each unit has the ability to intercept with a highly Advanced Life Support Unit, if such treatment is required.

A BLS unit has the ability to perform life saving skills including the use of Automatic External Defibrillators and noninvasive advanced airways. Each unit meets and exceeds the minimum requirements for equipment and staffing. BLS units are staffed with Emergency Medical Technician-Basics, which are licensed by the state.

Whether Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Support, DVA Ambulance strives to provide its patients with high quality patient care.

PR
DVA Ambulance provides a service to the community.. Public Relations. These events can be from community education to providing medical coverage for special events. Please keep in mind that our staff may not always be available during peak call times for regular blood pressure screening.

Community Education can include licensed EMS professionals as speakers for special events, schools, community events, etc. Please contact our administration offices for further information or set up an appointment.
